Prior of using the word “Easter” as a celebration of the resurrected of Christ Jesus, “Pascha” was used.
The word “Pascha” found its origin from the Jewish Passover festival. However, the word Easter comes from the Anglo-Saxon (English) Christians as it is always celebrated during the month of April (“Eostremonath” in the Anglo-Saxon). And since then the word Easter is used.
Happy Easter folks!!!
