I’m posting this blog at 1am, it’s very quiet outside and I’m alone in the studio with my thought, feeling melancholic, feeling at peace. I’m looking through old files sitting in an external hard disk that has been sitting on my work desk for the past 2 years, patiently, for me to be in the right frame of mind to pull out one, personal meaningful photo to share with the rest of the World.
Culling 2000 + Nikon NEF files from the trusty D3, I processed several images for a photobook that I’ve been putting off for years. All these times, chasing, nay, not chasing, it’s hunting! Aye, hunting for the next image, the next story, I forgotten of the one that I already have, waiting to see the light of day. The I saw the thumbnails of sequential shots, I pick one, too blurry. I choose another, too soon. Then…

…I saw her. She danced, she moved, she swayed to the beat. She turned to the crowd and she smiled but never at you, just to the audience. I moved in real close and waited, and then she turned and glanced at the camera uncertain of the next move expected, I recorded the image and moved out of the way. She resumed her set, follow through the reportoire to the beat of the songs and drums performing a spectacle to the stage of the World present before her…
