Apple Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter
Apple has officially released the Thunderbolt-to-FireWire adapter for Mac users. The adapter transforms Thunderbolt port to a FireWire 800 port that supplies up to 7W power.
It is a must-have for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with Retina Display owners because both models do not have FireWire port (only USB and ThunderBolt)
Thunderbolt devices are still expensive and rare. It is a good idea to convert Thunderbolt port to FireWire 800, and buy FireWire devices that’s cheaper and more popular.
